Omakase

Chef’s Choice

The term omakase is Japanese for “I leave it up to you, chef’s choice.” When you sit at any sushi bar in front of a chef, requesting omakase means putting your meal in the hands of the sushi chef.

At Mirakutei, we have some of the most experienced sushi chefs in town who each love to put their skills on display for guests to enjoy. Each chef has their own personality that comes through on each dish that they craft specially for you.

See the love from our customers!

"Loved, loved, loved the ramen. Tried the tonkatsu and miso ramen and both were delicious. The sushi was pretty good too. Fantastic service from all the servers."

"Delicious! Great vibes and service, and even better food!! Incredible selection of sushi, and limited (but excellent!) ramen options. And, to top it off, they've got dozens of sake choices, cocktails, and local and imported beers."

– Ezekiel Dean

"Truly amazing sushi. Five rolls and all of them were fantastic. I had never tried tuna belly before and it was crazy good. It is a fatty part of the fish and it just melts in your mouth. Try it if you are here. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in making great choices for our food. Just look at the picture. Even the plating was top notch. This was one of my top three sushi experiences. I will be visiting again next time I am in Portland."

"Liked the decor of the restaurant. You have the option of sitting inside or on their patio outside. Server was friendly and service was excellent. I ordered a sake flight, karaage, and genki ramen (spicy). All three sake's were good, ancient shrine, the 55 and water over the moon. The karaage was crispy on the outside and tender in the middle, excellent. The genki ramen hit the spot, it was spicy but not overly spicy. The ramen itself was good, noodles were done very well. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal and service. I would recommend this place."
